Capture 2

Lorsque Valérie Ursenbacher a créé la Capture en 2005, son inspiration principale a été le monde de l’automobile, à la fois ancien et moderne.
La Capture 2 est une nouvelle naissance pour HD3 Complication, il s’agit d’une toute autre approche esthétique mais qui conserve l’esprit du modèle précédent.

Valérie a créé un objet technique et masculin de part son choix d’utiliser un prestigieux mouvement chronographe-tourbillon qui s’intègre parfaitement à ce nouveau modèle limité à 11 pièces par version.
Elle a profité de la beauté du mouvement pour le laisser complètement apparent côté cadran, en utilisant une glace saphir, et elle a décidé d’intégrer les compteurs dessus et la réserve de marche décalquée dessous la glace, ce qui donne une profondeur supplémentaire au cadran.
L’aiguille de réserve de marche se trouve sous le pont de chronographe, afin de laisser une grande place au compteur minutes.
Malgré les forts moments d’inertie du balancier, la réserve de marche est de 5 jours (120 heures) et l’indication est faite par un secteur de 32 degrés situé entre 8 et 9h.
Finalement, Valérie a eu l’idée d’utiliser la cage du tourbillon pour y ajouter une seconde supplémentaire en intégrant un disque indicateur directement sur la cage.
Ce mouvement est un chronographe du type mono-pulsant à « 3 temps » dont l’idée originale est de rendre apparent le mécanisme chronographe coté cadran associé à une meilleure lecture des informations chronos, le tout en respectant la tradition horlogère puisque ce chronographe est conçu autour d’une roue à colonnes personnalisée situées à 12h.
L’autre particularité de ce chronographe est la prise de force qui se fait directement sur une cage tourbillon qui équipe ce nouveau mouvement et sa particularité est l’unique poussoir placé à 2h.

When Valérie Ursenbacher designed Capture in 2005, she drew her inspiration principally from the world of vintage and modern automobiles.
Capture 2 is HD3 Complication’s new model. The æsthetics of the design are quite different, but the spirit of the watch remains unchanged.

Valérie has created a timepiece, which is both technical and masculine in character, by choosing a prestigious chronograph tourbillon movement which suits this new model perfectly.
Only 11 pieces per version are available. By using sapphire glass she made the tourbillon visible in the watch face to show off its beauty, and installed the seconds/minutes counters above the glass with the power reserve indicator below, so as to give more depth to the dial.
The power reserve hand is placed beneath the bridge of the chronograph, thus leaving sufficient room for the minutes counter. Despite the high moments of inertia of the balance wheel, there is a 5-day power reserve (120 hours) with a 32° sweep indicator in the 9 o’clock position.
Lastly, Valérie had the idea of placing a disk showing the seconds digits on the tourbillon frame with an extra seconds indicator.
This movement is a single «triple action» push-button chronograph. It owes its originality to the fact that the chronograph mechanism is visible through the dial, making the chrono information easier to see, while at the same time respecting watchmaking traditions, since the chronograph is built around a personalized column wheel and placed in the 12 o’clock position.
The other distinctive feature of this chronograph is that it is powered directly by the tourbillon frame with which the movement is equipped, and its single push-button in the 2 o’clock position.
